Today’s post is quite philosophical as you’ll see in a minute, as I believe that knowledge is the key to success in this revolution. In order to have knowledge, one not only needs a way of obtaining information but also a base or a way of processing this information. The wealth of knowledge out there is vast as we all well know, but one needs to be able to sort through it and see the truth and know what the truth is, where it comes from.
The object of morality is one that will have people debating for years to come, my personal belief is that the creator God of the universe has implanted good in creation, a small part of which choose to turn away from it and pull humanity with it. I firmly believe that humans know good from bad and thus have a choice as to which path to follow.
Now for a little philosophy:
In the course of human history, there are certain events that with due cause perpetuate themselves, then repeat, the tale of a never ending loop, the now seemingly antiquated ideal that those who do not know or understand the past are doomed to repeat it.
Each event starts innocently enough, originating as nothing more than the spark of an idea, a thought, but it takes little time at all for thoughts and ideas to become reality, to life up to the reality that the dream once was, to become actions. In dealing with the actions, or events, people have devised two greatly broad systems, or groups, by which they judge and deal with events; they caste themselves into two wholly different classes of pondering. Both groups are equally important to the end goal of life but both function in completely different ways. Both groups are a significant factor in moving society forward, but both can be just as dangerous to reverting society into a realm of sheer terror and dissolution.
The first group is the most curious, they attempt to understand the why, what causes a person to have a thought and when and why that thought becomes an action. This is a group consisting of philosophers and scientists, the philosophers giving a grounding foundation of thoughts that dictate the scientific realm of possibility, science always being split into schools of thought based on backing philosophy. This group is powerful in that it seeks and finds answers. This is the group that steps back in search of reasons, it is slow to act out but when it does it does so with much ferocity and with a popular self authoritarian backing.
This is a group that is also dangerous as inevitably this is the group that eventually asks itself if and how it can control the thought process that dictates these historical events, it seeks to gain control and believes that it can. Once this point is reached, this group is no longer able to step back and see things as they are, it looses objectivity and it begins to dictate itself by the thoughts that its members believe to be right. This is where this group will begin to fail society as a whole and eventually lead to its collapse.
This group is also dangerous in that the average citizen of society believes this group to have some sort of unique and secret understanding of the world and therefore is willing to follow the group to the ends of the earth for what they say is right, to help perpetuate their own possibly flawed thoughts- for once the objectivity is gone, there is no reasonable way to detect flaws.
There is hope however, for a fallen group of this type. It is possible, and has been seen throughout history, that eventually, a new group of philosophers and scientists- again bringing objectivity to the system- arises from the once dormant society and begins to analyze the thoughts of the original but now out of balance original group. Through these enlightenments, societies can course correct and become focused again on making the world itself great as opposed to a small group of corrupt individuals.
The second group contrasts itself to the first in its pragmatism. Though this group is less philosophical or scientific, it is an important group in the maintenance of natural order and control. This group has been labeled throughout history as sheepdogs, warriors, rough men. Whatever the preferred nomenclature, they are a group that uses strict force to tackle actions and events head on as opposed to trying to gain an understanding about them at their core.
This group is important in that it can, and with haste, prevent any detrimental actions from heading forth and can also inspire good actions to move forward quickly. This is a group that is able to understand life in general, not through analysis but through something more spiritual, God Himself probably dictates this group in a strong fashion, though not directly through actions, but through reality, the state of being, the human condition. This is a group that knows right from wrong and will fight for it and quickly turn on those who are the perpetrators of wrongdoings. The only natural downfall to this group is their direction of what is right and wrong.
This group is dangerous as it can be mislead. Naturally, leaders will form, and it is possible to get leaders who do wrong and convince this group that they are doing right. This is the group that has the power to destroy, and if led wrong will do so, bringing society down with them. This is a group that will be quick to take orders but very slow in understanding or questioning them. This is a group that must have self control else it will end itself quickly, with little to no impact on the rest of society.
Again, when a group like this gets out of control and fights for wrong, society will lend itself members to create another group the stop the now corrupted group from wrongdoing.
Now, it would be wrong to assume that these two groups are indifferent and completely separated from one another. The truth is, what one group learns the other will quickly pick up on and react to. In reality, the philosophers and scientists will influence and help the warriors and fighters and vice versa. It can be a symbiotic relationship with little clashing at a academic level. The danger of this system is, however, that it can be used for good as well as for bad and history shows that corruption eventually sneaks its way into the good of life.
The two groups work in a cycle, thoughts, ideas and then actions and events. Both groups doing what they do about it until corruption sets in, then new groups rise from the ashes of the old ones. It is a sometimes vicious cycle that seems to have a sort of feedback mechanism intrinsic to it to keep the whole of society from moving to one extreme or another, but this all begs the question, is there another way? Is there something more? Who gets to dictate freedom, right from wrong?
While the philosophy of this will have people stirring and talking till the end of the earth, I believe that there may be a simpler way. I believe that every person has within them the true essence of right and wrong, we as humans know what we should and shouldn’t do to each other. Yes, there is evil out there and yes evil can and does take over certain individuals in the world, but I’ve always held the belief that good always far outweighs evil and there is still more good than evil in the world, in the end good wins either way! I only implore that people know which group they fall into and that they do their best to make it right, to fight for freedom, to stand up to the wrong in this world, the basis of which lies within each and every one of us!
